MP visits former Lutube视频 barbering apprentice

Chris Green MP recently visited an exceptional former Lutube视频 apprentice, now an entrepreneur with his own thriving business where he mentors his own apprentice.

Chris was joined by Jennifer Walker, Lutube视频鈥檚 Head of Apprenticeships & Business Development, after hearing about Corey Dickinson鈥檚 evolution from Lutube视频 apprentice to barbershop owner in just three years.听

Corey, 21, is now the owner of , a highly-successful Westhoughton barbershop with nearly 400 five-star reviews on fresha, a leading platform for hair and beauty.

Corey shared his journey and said: 鈥淚 preferred practical tasks at school so, after discovering a love of barbering, I became an apprentice at 16.

鈥淎t 18 I became shop manager then at 19, I bought out my boss and rebranded the barbershop to Tonsor Male Grooming; I now employ a Lutube视频 apprentice because I want to create opportunities for those who, like me, have a passion and drive to do well; it's important for me to give back and mentor young people who were once in my shoes, ensuring that they have the chance to achieve their dreams, regardless of their background or starting point.

鈥淣ot everyone thrives at school but given the right environment, anyone can become successful and achieve qualifications.鈥

Business is thriving for Corey; early last year, he recently expanded his services with the addition of an aesthetics studio. TMG Cosmetics offers aesthetics treatments for both men and women, as well as facials, vitamin injections and more, and is run by Corey鈥檚 mother, Jo Ronaldson, who embraced the opportunity to join her son鈥檚 business.
